Fortunately, the weather cleared in the late afternoon, allowing us to finally get to Baker Lake at 9:30 PM. The sky here is crystal clear and filled with stars, and there was a hot dinner waiting at the hotel when we arrived, so life is good. I'm a bit bummed that I missed my afternoon of photo taking, but at least I'm here. Clinic starts bright and early in the morning, so time to turn off the satellite tv and head to bed.

How beautiful! Sometimes I sure do miss the far north. The sound of the really cold snow crackling underfoot and its echo off the so-still air. The smell of the cold. The sky and the sun's arc.
