Taking photos is probably my favourite part of any trip. Unfortunately, by the time we took care of some very sick patients, finished up our paperwork, and said our goodbyes, I was left with only about 15 minutes to take photos before leaving Nunavut this morning. Which probably wasn't a bad thing, because even after putting on every warm piece of clothing I had brought with me, I could still feel my skin freezing as I tore through the town trying to photograph everything in sight. I will get around to doing a real post with more photos and some descriptions, but in the meantime I thought I'd share a couple of my favourite photos from today to give you a sense of where I've been this week.
Baker Lake from the road to the airport:
An igloo under construction:
My time in Nunavut was stressful and eye-opening and bitterly cold and magical and beautiful, all in one.
I would do it again in a heartbeat.

Yes! Love your last sentence!
Now that's something very cool. (Probably literally very cool, too.)
LOVE IT. Can't wait to hear more about this trip. I love trips like that, that hit all points of the emotional spectrum, all wrapped up together like a burrito, making a delicious dish.
What? Sorry. It's Monday. My brain isn't quite functioning yet.....
